Bernard Savage, Sr, 73, of Ambridge Pa passed peacefully from his earthly home to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday January 31, 2024.
Born July 23, 1950, in Aliquippa Pa, he was the son of the late Eddie Sr. and Gladys Savage. Bernard graduated from Aliquippa High School and was a force on the Quips football team. He was previously employed by J & L Steel Corporation. Bernard was also a devoted member of Alcoholic Anonymous and was proud of his over 35 years of sobriety.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Gloria D. Savage, his brother Donnie Savage, and his niece Tiffany Savage.
Surviving to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Bernard Savage, Jr of Maryland, Maurice Stevenson and Selina ( Philip) Barron of California and his brother Eddie Savage, Jr of Pittsburgh, Pa.
His love will live on through his grandchildren, DaMetrius and DaJuan (India) Savage, Domonique Walker, Shaquayla Hardy, Erica Morris, Monae and Michael Stevenson, and his great grandchildren DaKyia and King Savage. He was also Blessed with his “bonus “ great grandchildren, Ah’Meer, Jaz’Meir, D’Andrae, D’Ahn and D’Ahnie.
He will always be remembered by his devoted cousins, Grady and Jerome Gill and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernard also loved his extended family, the Smithermans, Rodney Burrows and family, his loving neighbors on Olive Lane in Ambridge, and his companion Bonnie.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to his grandson Domonique Walker for his outstanding care and dedication to his grandfather.
A repast will be held immediately following the services at Greater Emmanuel AME Zion Church, 185 Sixth Avenue in Aliquippa, Pa.
Family and friends will be received at Washington Funeral Home and Cremations, 1411 6th Avenue in Beaver Falls Pa on Friday, February 9, 2024. Viewing will be from 10am until noon. Funeral services will begin at noon.
