JoAnn

JoAnn Riser, 66 passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born in Beaver Falls, PA on October 13, 1957, to the late Joseph Morelli and Rose Greco Morelli.

JoAnn pursued a career in the field of helping others and sought out a path as a Personal Care aide in the nursing field. After her retirement from Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center she shifted her energy and worked as a Grocery Clerk at Save-A-lot. Some of her favorite hobbies and pastimes were quilting, crafting, and playing cards.  She also loved baking, especially for her family. JoAnn’s heart and joy were her children and grandchildren; just spending time with them meant the world to her. She had a dog named Ziggy, who she loved
dearly. JoAnn will be sadly missed in her community and treasured in the hearts of her grieving family.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her loving husband, whom she missed dearly Carl Riser. Parents: Joseph and Rose Morelli; and granddaughter Brianna Fitzgerald.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters:  Roxann Solomon Riser; Carla (Sean) Fitzgerald. Grandchildren: Jordyn Robbins, Levi Fitzgerald, Blaze Fitzgerald, Natalya Fitzgerald, and Giovanni Solomon. Sister: Theresa Morelli. Nephews: Richard Leaner and Joseph Leaner.  and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 12 pm until 3 pm followed by a Homegoing celebration service from 3 pm to 4 pm at Washington Funeral Home 1411 6th  Ave, Beaver Falls, PA. Regina Washington, Supervisor.

Aimuel Lendale Dean

AIMUEL LENDALE DEAN
AKA AL/DEAN- Aimuel L. Dean, 47, passed away unexpectedly August 16, 2023 in New Brighton Pa. He was born January 25, 1976 in Aliquippa Pa to parents Alfred Dean and Brenda (Finney) Boynton.

Aimuel graduated from Big Beaver Falls, Class of 1994 and from BCCTC Masonry/Bricklaying. Aimuel was a jack of all trades and his jobs were many. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dice, collecting art, and being around friends and family. Aimuel was a gentle spirit who loved all. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for anybody. Even though his time on this earth was short, his big heart will live on. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by parents Edward and Brenda Boynton, Sister Marilyn Milliner.

Aimuel leaves behind his daughters Ashmaire and Athena Dean, son Zion Dean. Grandchildren Admire,Aaron,Ayden,Ayda,and Ariya Dean. Father Alfred Dean, His brother Leon and Lavern Dean,
Nephews Leon Jr. and Jaslyn Dean, LaVaughn Dean. Niece Leyana Dean and great nieces Jaliyah and Ansahna Dean and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Beloved Devoted friends Catherine Ameen,Betty Kirkland, and Tammy Obinna. Best friend Tyrone George. He was well known in the community for his assistance and service.

Charles Humphress

A new life came into being on December 26, 1943, in Hanford, CA to the parentage of Ellafare and CJ Humphress. A beautiful baby boy was born, and he was named Charles James Humphress. Charles was the oldest of six children, Gloria, Maryella, Patricia, Claxton Leo, and Karleen. Charles was 79 and passed away peacefully in the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, on August 2, 2023

Charles graduated from George W. Brackenridge High School, San Antonio, TX where he was a member of the JROTC. After high school, he moved to California to attend college. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he was a Heating System Specialist. After four years in the Air Force, he returned to San Antonio. Charles began his professional career at the City of San Antonio Public Services, as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist for 15 years. He later moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Charles met Bonita Humphrey in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they relocated to Beaver Falls, PA in 1988. He was the proud father of two daughters, Brittany and Anasa. He worked at Armstrong World Industries until his retirement in 2009. Not being one to sit at home, Charles went on to work for Lowe’s until 2019.

Charles is dearly remembered for his giving, compassionate and loving spirit. He was known for his kindness and generosity of his time and intellect. He enjoyed his life by sharing his knowledge, skills, and gifts with others. He volunteered with the Helping Hands Organization in his community where he did all types of handyman work. He was very skilled and knowledgeable and did not mind sharing these gifts. He helped many of his neighbors with their cars, homes, or anything that needed repair. Charles was very proud of his siblings and family and enjoyed many holiday gatherings with them. Charles loved nature and music. He always had saltwater and freshwater aquariums in his homes and enjoyed nursing houseplants back to life. He loved all genres and styles of music; however, his true love was jazz.

Charles is survived by his two daughters, Brittany C. Humphress of Pittsburgh, PA and Anasa T. Humphrey of St. Louis, MO; one grandson, Gavyn J. Humphress; four sisters, Gloria County of Oklahoma City, OK; Maryella Williams of Colleyville, TX, Patricia Bolton (Douglas) of Houston, TX, and Karleen Hammerli (Rainer)of Lafayette, IN; brother, Tommy Ray (Sherrion) of Dalzell, SC; mother-in law, Mary Glanton of Beaver Falls, PA; sister-in-law, Cindy Gutowski (Frank) of Gibsonia, PA; nieces, Tarita K. Gilmer of Dallas, TX, and Leslie Ray of Columbia, SC; nephews, Derrick V. County and Orenthal J. County of Oklahoma City, OK, Mario B. Williams of Atlanta, GA, John W. Humphress of Bradenton, FL, Damon R. Williams of Arlington, TX , Austin R. Hammerli and Alexander R. Hammerli of Lafayette, IN, Bryant Ray of Atlanta, GA, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charles was proceeded in death by his parents Ellafare E. and CJ Humphress, his wife, Bonita Humphrey and brother Claxton Leo Humphress.

We thank God for the life of Charles James Humphress and for every life that he touched and poured his wisdom, knowledge, and beautiful spirit into. Thank you, Lord, for the 79 years that we shared with him.

Deena Buntin

Deena Buntin 43, of Beaver Falls, PA; gained her wings on her birthday July 23,2023. Deena was born July 23, 1980 in Beaver PA to the loving parents of the late, Alvin L. Buntin and Denise R. Young.

Deena will be remembered for her smile and authenticity. Deena was a vibrant, jovial, carefree spirit and a lifelong resident of Beaver Falls, PA. Deena was truly one-of-a-kind; her personality illuminated any room she entered. She loved her children and grandson. She truly enjoyed her family and friends. She will be missed dearly and cherished forever.

Deena is preceded in death by her father Alvin L. Buntin. Grandparents: Eddie and Melba Young Jr.; Clinton (Dickie)Buntin and Nellie J. Pettegrew.

Deena leaves behind her daughter, Asharri M. Willams of Aliquippa, PA. Son Omari G. Smith of Midland PA; Grandson Rajoin R. Crute. Mother Denise R. Young and Stepmother, Janet Clark Butin. One Brother, Charles Pitts, Washington D.C. Three sisters, Melissa Pitts. Baltimore MD, Coty Young, Charlotte NC and Monique Young of Beaver Falls, PA. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Service will be on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 11am to 2pm followed by a private homegoing service for family and close friends at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations 1411 6th Avenue Beaver Falls PA. Regina Washington Supervisor.

Michael Anthony Jones

Michael Anthony Jones was born February 22, 1968, in Rochester, PA to Harold and Barbara Smith Jones. He departed this life, Thursday, July 20, 2023, vacationing on a cruise docked in the southern Caribbean in Curacao.

Michael graduated from Freedom Area High School in 1986 and attended the University of Pittsburgh for a short period of time. He later joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he served for over 10 years. While serving time in the National Guard, he worked at Wal-Mart.

Later he worked as a nurse’s aide in Pittsburgh for many years. Michael was currently employed by Life of Beaver County.

Michael was known to many growing up as “Smiley”. Michael was thoughtful and kind-hearted. He seldom missed an opportunity to call family and friends to say, “Happy Birthday, Happy Father’s Day or Mother’s Day, etc.” He greeted everyone with a tight hug or a firm handshake that you knew was genuine. He prided himself on “thinking outside the box” and enjoyed sharing his opinion “uniquely Michael’s”. He was very articulate, smart, and always brought joy and laughter to others. Michael was a big Taylor Swift fan and he loved the Olive Garden.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Smith Jones.

He will be dearly missed by his father, Harold Jones Jr. and stepmom Judy Jones of Glenarden, MD, one brother Keith Jones of New Brighton, PA, sister Dana Jones of New Brighton, PA and stepsister Regina Rodriguez (Juan) of Springdale, MD: one uncle Anthony Jones (Sylvia) of Fort Washington, MD, three aunts: Debra Lee (Nate) of Aliquippa, PA, Leslie Ellis (Herb) of Rochester, PA, and Constance Jackson (Franklin Sr.) of Mitchellville, MD, three great-aunts: Linda Smith, Dorothy Smith, and Pauline Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
