LaTonya Denise Frazier, 53 returned to her heavenly home on September 4, 2021 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
LaTonya was born to the late Douglas Frazier and surviving Estelle Frazier. She graduated from Big Beaver Falls High School in 1986. She was a WPIAL Track Athlete and dedicated to her Tigers. She then graduated from Edinboro University in 1992 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. LaTonya was a proud member of the Zeta Phi Beta sorority. She worked as a Social Worker for years and then her later years at PowerLink Settlement Services.
LaTonya was always that person who lit up the room when she walked in. Her smile shined bright like the stars, her laugh was contagious, and her eyes were full of joy and love.
LaTonya was a dedicated Mother to her pride and joy, Khalil. She proudly let everyone know at his football games and musical concerts that Khalil was her son. And she quickly corrected anyone who could not say his name correctly.
LaTonya was a member of the Light of Salvation Church in Beaver Falls. She also was a proud participant of the Relay for Life Cancer events and gave gracious support to others touched by cancer.
She is survived by her “SONshine”, Khalil, her mother Estelle, and brother Douglas, Jr. Many Aunts, Uncle and cousins. She leaves friends like family and a community that loved her dearly.
LaTonya will be cremated and a memorial service held at a later date.
