Theodore F. Gibson of Beaver Falls, PA passed away on November 22, 2022 in the Sunny View Nursing Center, Butler, PA at the age of 86.
Thee was the son of the late Walter and Georgia (Crawford) Gibson. He was born on October 23, 1936. The youngest and last survivor of 8 brothers. He grew up in New Brighton, and Beaver Falls where he made many close friendships.
He was employed at Westinghouse Electric Corporation (Cutler Hammer) for 35 years. He retired in 1991 at the age of 55 to care for his aging mother. He was a member of Waymen Chapel AME Church in New Brighton.
He loved nice cars – always maintaining and making sure his cars were in tip top condition and spotlessly clean. He was always passing along the importance of caring for and taking care of your car to family and friends. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching the Young and The Restless!! His daily plans started “when the Young and the Restless goes off”. He was big on family and always available and willing to lend a helping hand anyway he could. He was always in contact with his nieces and nephews, here and far away. Having no children of his own, his nieces and nephews were his children too.
In his later years, you could find him sitting at Foodland in New Brighton chatting up with his friends, relatives and strangers passing by.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 8 brothers: Harold, Daniel Gale, Loyal Jerome, Paul, Donald, Kenneth, William, and James Gibson. His nephews Marcus (Markie), Loyal Jerome, II (Butch), Ronald Gibson and Ronald Crawley.
He leaves to cherish his memory (numerous) nieces, nephews and great, and great-great nieces and nephews. Also, special friends, Reverend and Mrs. Samuel Chambers, Charles Wallace, Tommy Monts, William Odum, Billy and Hattie Walker and cousins Mickey and Dee Dee Crawford.
