William “Bill” Filler

William “Bill” Filler, 65, of Beaver Falls, formally of Hopewell Twp., died peacefully in his home on September 6, 2018.  Bill was born on Christmas Day 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA, to William and Mary (Matman) Filler.

Bill worked at LTV Steel until he became disabled by a mental illness in his mid-twenties.  He struggled but agreed to participate in a new drug treatment in the 1990’s changing his and other’s lives. He lived his life as a gentle, loving, caring man and was an example for others with this illness.  Bill was able to live independently and contently with the help of so many people associated with Mental Health

He is survived by his wife Carol Filler, brother Bob (Debbie) Filler, sons Casey and Joseph Filler and daughter, Kelly Cervi. He is also survived by his grandchildren Seth, Cassie and Abbi Cervi as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The Family would like to thank Mental Health Association of Beaver County, BCRC, Harbor Point Housing, Supportive Services and all those who have supported Bill and his family throughout the years.

Following the 4:00 p.m. visitation, a funeral service will be conducted, Pastor Marc de Jeu officiating.

Donald E. “Munion” Creach Sr.

Donald E. “Munion” Creach Sr., 77, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley Beaver, Beaver, PA. He was born on December 1, 1940, to the late Theodore and Dorothy Creach.

Donald Served in U.S. Armed Service. After leaving the U.S. Armed Service, he went to work at Armstrong World Industries until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by Brother: Arthur (Piney) Creach.

Donald is survived by Sons: Donald E. “Linky” (Yvette) Creach, Jr.; Jason Creach and Eric Hodge; Daughters: Donna Creach Cornell. Wife: Ellen H. Creach. and Stepchildren: Pierre, Michael and Marcus “Newte” Hill. Sister: Harriet “Lady Bug” (James) Mickens. Brother: Jerome “Dagwood” (Dee Dee) Creach. Aunt: Jean (Chuck) Dawson. A number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,
family and friends.

Donald respectfully requested cremation in lieu of a traditional homegoing funeral services. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Marvin Vaughn

Marvin Vaughn, 60, passed away September 3, 2018 in Heritage Valley Beaver, Beaver, PA, surrounded by his family. Born on August 25, 1958 to the late William S. Gibson. and Maggie Bell.

Marvin was a loving Husband, Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed Scrapping Metal, and cleaning cars. Marvin LOVED the LORD and served as a Deacon in the Church of the Living God, Midland PA. Marvin was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Marvin was preceded in death by Brothers: Arvin Vaughn, Arthur (Yvonne) Vaughn, Theodore Vaughn. Sister: Rosa (Roy) Petties.

Marvin is survived by his Loving Wife: Lynn Vaughn. Sons: Marvin (Hope) Wilson, Chad (Brooke) Wilson, La’Naire Vaughn, Robert (Amy) Meyers. Daughters: Shawnda Wilson, Ashley Harmon, Ka’Nesha Vaughn, Terri (Lynn) Mason, Holly Meyers. Brothers: Morris (Denise) Vaughn, Robert Lee Vaughn, William “Billy” Gibson, Gregory (Florence) Gibson, Tracy (Shirley) Gibson, Anthony (Peaches) Gibson. Sisters: Carol (Bruce) Hauser and Gail Gibson. Uncle: Theo Gibson. 25 Grand-children and 1 Great-Grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Thomas Howard

Thomas Victor “Butch” Howard, 73, of Beaver Falls, passed away August 13, 2018 in Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Beaver, PA. after a prolonged illness. He was born in New Brighton, PA on May 8, 1945 to the late Thomas P. Howard and Katherine E. Law Howard.

Thomas Served as a Marksman in the United States Army.  After leaving the Army, he began an extensive career as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion 0261 and Local Teamsters Union. Thomas was an avid fisherman, and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmie Henry and Carl E. “Gene” Taylor Sr., a sister, Katherine C. North, and a niece Deborah Taylor.

Thomas is survived by his spouse, Hattie Burrell, three sons; Christopher, Anthony, and Thomas, and daughters; Sondra, Tai-ko, Annie, and Georgia. He leaves to mourn 17 grandchildren, his sister, Pat (Ron) Gibson, sister-in-law, Marian Taylor, brother, Dr. T. Alton Howard, devoted niece, Melva Montgomery, devoted Cousin, Tammy Hall, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.

Anne Lois Walker

Anne Lois Walker, 80, of Beaver Falls, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 6, 2018, in Good Samaritan Heritage Valley, Beaver, Pa. Born April 24, 1939, in Montgomery, Alabama, Anne Lois was the daughter of the late Amos and Lois Bernice Murdock Jackson.

Lois was an active member of Love Hope Baptist Church in Ellwood City, Pa., before she became ill. She was loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She was a daughter in the Brighton Pioneer Lodge.

She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Nothing meant more to her than her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Lois is survived by her lifetime companion, John O. Austin; sons, Pastor Alvin “Jerry” and Gwen Walker; William “Tony” Walker, and Vincent “Eddie” Walker; daughters, Belle and John Henley; Bernice “Bee Bee” Walker and Michelle “Micki” Walker; sister, Jacqueline Jeter; aunt, Estell Murdock Crumb; uncle, John Murdock; 44 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of adopted daughters, loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Jackson and Bernice Murdock Smith; a son, Jeffery Murdock Sr., and five grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. and July 12, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Love-Hope Baptist Church 400 Wayne Ave, Ellwood City, Pa. Phillip Anthony Davis Sr.

Phillip Anthony Davis, Sr., 60, of Beaver Falls, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 25, 2018, in Heritage Valley, Beaver. Born March 2, 1958, in New Brighton, he was the baby boy of the late Robert C. and Lenora L. (Black) Davis.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Before his illness, Phillip worked for many years in the health care field, with his last place of employment being Life Beaver, Monaca, Pa. Phillip had many interests and hobbies, including the love of his cars, playing the organ, watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, “debating” (any topic under the sun), spending time with family and friends, and walking his dog Prince.

He is survived by his four children, Esha King, Baltimore, Md.; Phillip Davis Jr., Austin, Texas; Leonard Davis, Raywood, Texas, and Diamond Davis, Beaver Falls, Pa.; two grandchildren, Cornelius Curry and Jazmin Davis; four siblings, Roberta Hough, Baden; Leonard (Tracy) Davis, Maryland; Kathy (Sylvester) Scott and Michael Davis, both of Beaver Falls; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Scott-Elmore, and three infant siblings.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. and June 30, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the WASHINGTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, 1411 6th Ave., Beaver Falls, Pa. Service will be officiated by Rev. Bernard E. Tench, Jr., of the Second Baptist Church, Beaver Falls, Pa. Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors at the Washington Funeral Home at 12 noon.

Gloria M Love

Gloria Mae Love, age 61, passed away at Heritage Valley Medical Center on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 surround by her family. She was born July 1, 1956, in Talladega, Alabama to the late William and Margaret Love Sr.

Gloria was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend. She was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Gloria is preceded in death by sisters Rosella McCullough, Sherry Love, Harriet Cook and her brother William Love Jr.

Gloria is survived by Sons: Gerald (Leigh Ann) Love Sr. (Philadelphia Pa), Darrald (Veronica) Love Sr. (Beaver Falls), Leslie “Coolie” (Tina) Cleckley (Beaver Falls), Freddie Cleckley (Beaver Falls), Gloria also raised Grandsons: Gerald Love Jr. (Pittsburgh) and Kyzer Cleckley (Beaver Falls). Sisters: Tammy Hall, Rochester, PA and Karen Faye Greene of Birmingham, Alabama. Grandchildren: Kayleigh, Kyla, Brayden, Darrald Jr., Dallyn, Darell, DeJeua, Drevon Love; Taylor Kirby; Briannah Kelosky; Jada, Jabarhi, Jayce Cleckley; Jailynn Turner; Olivia Dorsey and Kayden Job. Great Grandchildren; Milynn and Taylor Turner. Step Daughter: Nacole Jackson. Special Nieces & Nephew: Tina Burke, Crystal N. Dallas, Christopher Hall and Courtney Hall. Delcie L. Smith

Delcie L. Smith, 48, born in Kingwood, New Jersey on January 31, 1969, passed away peacefully at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA from an unexpected case of pneumonia on April 20, 2018. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Delcie was a loving and devoted companion to David Pogledich for the past 20 years. She loved spending time with her Children and Grandchildren. She was known for her kind soul and giving nature and the special care she gave to her Grandson Ashton. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Delcie was preceded in death by her, Father: Michael Smith and Grandmother: Delcie Highley.

Delcie is survived by David Pogledich. Daughters: Nicole Elaine Smith and Erica Lynn Smith. Grandchildren: Ashton Scott and David Smith. Mother: Patricia Louise Smith Highley. Brother: William Dean Starkey. Sister: Melissa Dawn Starkey. Niece: Brittney Lee Fisher. Nephew: Hans Dwight Fisher Jr. and host aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Ernestine Carter

THE SCROLL OF LIFE
Ernestine Langford Carter, daughter of the late Channing Loris and Carrie Wooding Hobson was born on April 17th, 1932 in Charleston, West Virginia. She attended the public schools in Beckley, West Virginia, where she received her high school diploma. After graduating from high school, Ernestine made her home in Youngstown, OH. It was there that she met and married the late John Henry Carter.

Later in life, Ernestine, affectionately known as Tina, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She spent many of her days in deep Bible study and working her crossword puzzles. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was greatly loved by her friends and family. Her Christian life was beautiful and sweet and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

In February 2017, Ernestine came to live in Beaver Falls, PA. in order to be closer to her family. On Sunday, April 8, 2018 Ernestine went home to be with her Lord and Savior while at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, PA. after suffering from an extended illness.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three beautiful daughters Carol Savage, Deborah Ferguson, and Catherine Ferrell all of Youngstown, Ohio. In addition to her parents and late husband, Ernestine was preceded in death by nine brothers, Percy Hobson, (Christine) of Baltimore, MD, Farry Hobson, of Baltimore, MD, James C. Hobson, New York, Elta L. Hobson, (Dora) Beaver Falls, Joseph Hobson, (Edith) Beaver Falls, Channing L. Hobson, (Ida Mae) Beaver Falls, Orlando Hobson, Lancaster, PA, Virgil Hobson, (Christine) South Carolina, Robert Berry, and two grandsons, Jonathan Carter and Christopher Hodge. She is survived by a sister, Lillian Snowden, (Richard) of Beaver Falls 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.

Homegoing Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA.

Donnie Larry Dreher Jr.

Donnie Larry Dreher Jr. 59 of Beaver Falls passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the Heritage Valley Health Center of Beaver, PA. Larry was Born on March 17th, 1958 to the late Donnie Dreher Sr. and Dorothy J. Carlo.

Larry “Lum”; as he was so affectionately called by all who knew him was a lifelong resident of Beaver Falls. He was a graduate of the Beaver Falls Class of 1976; after graduations, he attended Slippery Rock College and worked in the Home Health Care field. Larry was an avid Beaver Falls “ Tigers” fan, Pittsburgh Steeler and Pittsburgh Pirate fan. He also, loved cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Sylvester and Hazel Carlo. Paternal grandparents Daz and Nancy Dreher. Uncle: Sylvester “Hoppy” Carlo and Uncle Lou and Joyce Walker.

Larry is survived by his Loving Sisters: Antrisa Dreher, Beaver Falls, Pa and Toni Thorton, Pittsburgh Pa. Aunt: Antoniette Carlo, New Brighton, PA and Marilyn Cobb, Pittsburgh, PA. Uncle: William Carlo, Beaver Falls, PA. 3 Great Aunts, and a host of special cousins and friends.
