Denise Marie Lindsay-Tapp

Denise Marie Lindsay-Tapp 68, of Beaver Falls, PA transitioned into God’s arms on January 14, 2022 at UPMC Monifore Pittsburgh, Pa.
Denise affectionally known to family and friends as “Nesee”; born March 28, 1953 in Beaver Falls, PA to the late Arthur Leon Lindsay and Ruby Lindsay-Monts.

Denise was compassionate about everything she did; especially when it came to being there for her family and friends. Denise was the life of the party; her presence was known when she walked into the room. Her greatest pleasure came when she became a “NaNa” to her granddaughter Yanah, and Great-grandson Ayden; she loved them dearly. She lived her life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Doretha “Ree Ree” Lindsay and Godson DeAndre Moon Jr.

Denise is survived by her daughter Kenyata S. (David) Banks of Beaver Falls, PA. Granddaughter: Ayanah R. Jackson; Great-grandson: Ayden Lee Alford of Beaver Falls, PA. Stepfather: Thomas Monts Sr. of Houston TX. Brothers: Donnie Sr. (Karen) Lindsay of Houston, TX., Lawrence (Lisa) Lindsay, Charlotte NC., Darrin Lindsay of Charlotte, NC., Thomas Jr. (Alberta) Monts, of Houston TX; and James (Theresa) Monts, Beaver, PA. Sisters: Desiree Lindsay, of Charlotte NC., Darlene (Justin) Jackson, Beaver Falls, PA. and Renee (Gerald) Hall, of Baltimore MD. Aunt: Ethel Thompson of Tallahassee, Fl. God-children: Reginald (Stephanie) Smith, of Moon, PA. and Toyauna Slappy, of Beaver Falls, PA. A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family, Friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January, 29, 2022 from 11am to 1pm followed by a Homegoing Celebration at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA.

Lloyd Carl Moffett

Lloyd Carl Moffett, 60 of Beaver Falls passed away on January 11, 2022 at Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center. Lloyd was born on January 15, 1961 to Phyllis Fuller and the late Norman Moffett.

Lloyd worked at Athens Family Restaurant for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to music. Lloyd was a private person therefore, there will be no visitation. However, there will be a memorial service for his family and friends at a later date.

In addition to his father Lloyd is preceded in death by his brother Donald Moffett.

Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Becky Moffett. Sons: Lloyd Moffett and James E. McCumbers. Daughter: Jacquelin Moffett. Mother: Phillis Fuller. Brothers: Fred Davidson, David Moffett and Richard Moffett. Sister Georgia Davidson.

Roosevelt Kelly Cook

Roosevelt Kelly Cook, 76 of Beaver Falls, departed this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Born on August 23 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late Roosevelt & Artelia Cook.

Roosevelt was a United States Army Veteran who fought in the Vietnam War. Roosevelt was a Truck Driver for many years and was a great provider for his family. He loved entertaining, often hosting picnics and family gatherings. He was always cooking on the grill and he made the best BBQ sauce ever! After retiring, he really enjoyed gardening. He grew all sorts of unique vegetables and was extremely proud of the large sizes he would produce. Roosevelt was a huge fan of the Steelers and the UConn Women’s basketball team.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted, loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Cook, his sister, Yvonne Kelly, and his nephew Wardell Kelly.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Jerry Cook, Roosevelt “Monnie” (Racquel) Cook, and Dennis (Shannon) Cook. Eight grandsons, Tyler, Cody, Jerry, Devin, Caiden, Zachary, Jacob, and Bryson Cook. Granddaughter, Sydney Cook. Great-grandsons, Isaiah and Zion, and Great-granddaughter, Naomi. One sister, Mary Louise Cleckley as well as a host of sisters and brothers n laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Friend will be received on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Homegoing service at Washington Funeral Home & Cremation, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls PA. Minister, Racquel Cook officiating.

Joel Gisondi

Joel Gisondi, 65 of. Beaver Falls passed away on December 25, 2021, at Smith’s Personal Care Home.

He was born on April 12, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late Joel and Janet Jones Gisondi.

In his leisure time Joel enjoyed basketball, football, walking and networking with his friends. Joel was a faithful member of the SOMA Gathering Church, Beaver Falls PA.

Joel was preceded in death by his father, Joel Gisondi; his mother, Janet (Netta) Dixon; his grandmother, Tina Gisondi; uncles and aunts, Glenn Jones, Frank and Nick Gisondi, Jack and Angie Yova ; David Wynn Griffith, Betty Yonlisky, Dan and Shirley Gisondi, Ester Trench and Cousin John Yova.

Joel is survived by four sisters, Lisa Gisondi ( fiancé Jason Twyman), Linda (James) Sadenwasser JoAnn (Doug) Patterson, and Joni (Dennis) Gilbertson; brother, James (Sadie) Sadenwasser; uncle, Mike Gisondi; nieces Sarah, Shannon, Brandy, Krystle and Amber, nephews; Joel and Derek; special cousins, Jim and Sue Yonlisky, Rita Swesey, Terri Hill, Frank Yonlisky ,Mike Yova, Tara Couper, Jimmy Yonlisky and devoted friend, Kenny Mitko. Host of other Nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Orea Ann Nesmith “Cookie” Cook

Orea Ann Nesmith Cook “Cookie” passed from this life Wednesday December 29, 2021 at home after an extensive illness at the age of 66. Orea Ann was born November 3, 1955 in Beaver Falls, PA, daughter of Raymond and Lucille Nesmith.

She was a lifetime resident of Beaver Falls. She was married to Fred Riley Cook, Sr. and in 1981 they had one son Fred Riley Cook, Jr. Orea Ann was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Nesmith and her sister Evangelist Albertha McDowell. Orea Ann graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1973. She then attended nursing school where she became a CNA. She was employed at Heritage Valley Health Systems for over 25 years as a CAN, a lab tech and finished in the sterile processing department. She also worked at the Geriatric Center for 5 years. Orea Ann attended Bible classes at Geneva College and took ministerial training classes through the Church of God at Somerset, PA. She was a member of Mt. Washington Church of God under Bishop Reon Nesmith, Sr. After her internship with Northside Church of God Orea Ann then transferred there, where she was a member for just over 23 years under the leadership of Reverend Farley Ridout. There she served as a Sunday school teacher, an usher, prayer team leader and assistant pastor. After Reverend Ridout retired she continued to reside at the church under Pastor Yvonne Burns.

In addition to her son Orea Ann is survived by her father, six sisters Minnie Williams, Lucille Nesmith, Debbie Nesmith, Donna Nesmith and Elaine Nesmith all of Beaver Falls and Martha Nesmith of Pittsburgh, PA. Two brothers Bishop Reon Nesmith, Sr. with his wife Catharine of Beaver Falls. Donald Nesmith with his wife Michele of New Brighton, PA. One niece Leah Hairston of Texas and five nephews King McDowell of Philadelphia, PA, Troy Nesmith of Tampa, FL, Reon Nesmith, Jr. of Beaver Falls, Walt Williams of New Castle, PA and Jeremy Nesmith of Lancaster, PA. Two granddaughters, Aviana Kimbrough and Arianna Cook and a host of loving relatives and friends. A loving caregiver Juan Gibson, Jr. for two years and a very special friend Shirley Harris of Pittsburgh, PA

Friends will be received on Tuesday , January 4, 2022 at the Church of God 2100 11th Avenue, Beaver Falls, Pa from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Homegoing Celebration Reverend Reon Nesmith Officiating. Jerome Motton

Jerome Motton, 75 of Aliquippa passed away on December 27, 2021, at Heritage Valley
Medical Center in Beaver PA.

Born on September 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Hendon Motton.
Jerome was an avid fisherman. He was a supporter of the Aliquippa Football teams and
enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren
and family. He was employed as a laborer at the local steel mill and later worked on
construction.

In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his son, Oscar Gerald Rogers;
two sisters, Judy Green Motton and Nancy Motton; and three brothers, Gregory, Robert Lee,
and Thomas Motton.

Jerome will be sadly missed by his two sons, Cory Anthony (Elaine) Rogers and Jerome
Motton; two brothers, Douglass and Larry Motton; three sisters, Cheryl, Benita Fay, and
Georgette Motton; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a special devoted friend, Peggy
King, Brenda (Gervais) Hannon and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton PA.

Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2022 from 11 AM to 1pm at New Holy Temple Church
of God in Christ, 228-250 4th Ave, Aliquippa PA where the service will begin at 1PM.

Beaver Falls PA.
