Joel Christopher Hodge

Joel Christopher Hodge went home to meet his heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Born August 6, 1957 in Beaver Falls, PA, he was the beloved son of Joel and Elizabeth Coleman Hodge.
Joel worked many years for the Conrail Railroad, after which he continued to work with computers, and as a skilled handyman. His great love for God and family was evident in everything he did. He will indeed be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Valetta Hodge Peteet and Willa Boulding. He leaves to mourn his passing a daughter, Chanell (Steven) Rhoads and grandson, Alexander; a sister, Katherine (LaVonne) Cansler; a, nephew, Erik Hodge; two nieces, Marchelle and Kia Cansler; childhood best friend, Kevin Wiley and a host of other family and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support during this difficult time.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Washington Funeral Home and Cremation, 1411 Sixth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Oshea Vreen, Jr. officiating.

Devon Michael Thompson

Devon Michael Thompson, 21 of Beaver Falls, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

Devon had plans to travel and explore the world for the next year or so before opening his own business. He had already traveled to Texas and California within the last few months. He loved making music and recording in the studio. He was very close to his family and friends and had a huge heart. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather: Joseph J. Manini, Paternal Grandparents: Harry and Janet Thompson. Great Grandmother Mozelle Johnson and Aunts: Gloria Brandyburg and Lillian Brandyburg.

Bennie Lee Glover

Bennie Lee Glover, 69 of Beaver Falls, Pa. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 23, 2021. Born in Durant Mississippi on January 1, 1952, to the late Willie and Teelia Glover of Midland Pa.

Bennie was a kind and gentle man, he was known for his generous loving spirit. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was retired from Causable Steel. In his spare time he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bennie will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents and Brothers: Willie James Glover, Herman Glover and Jasper Lee Glover. Sisters: Josephine McGee and Erma Jean Glover. Nephew: Johnny Miller.

Travinia Rochelle Hairston

Travinia Rochelle Hairston, 40, of Beaver Falls, PA passed away on October 18, 2021, in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa after a courageous battle of a lengthy illness. She was born on December 7, 1980, to Rose Cleckley, and the late Travelous Hairston Sr.

Travinia loved spending time with her sons and enjoyed the company of all her nieces and nephews. In her pastime, she would take joy in shopping. She was loved and adored in her family and community and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother Mark Anthony Cleckley. Maternal grandparents, Rose and Joseph Cleckley Sr., and Paternal grandparents, Betty and Ralph Hairston.

Travinia is survived by Sons: Ni’ere Ambition, Tayvis Hairston and Shileak Livingston, Beaver Falls Pa. Mother: Rose Cleckley of Beaver Falls, Pa. Sisters, Alana Cleckley, and Brittany Hairston, Beaver Falls, Pa. Brothers: Andrew Cleckley of Freemont, Ohio, Travelous Hairston Jr, Omar Coleman and Martin Cleckley of Beaver Falls, Pa. Anitra Owens

Anitra Owens, 45, of New Brighton, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on October 12, 2021. Anitra was born on June 30, 1976 to the late Marian Owens and Haywood Washington.

Anitra was a good listener and friend to many people in her community. Her perspective was refreshing and genuine – like a candle in the darkness, you were drawn to her love and sensitivity. She was always there for her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Anitra is preceded in death by her mother, Marian Owens.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Daughter: NyQueena Owens. Sons: Kelvin Jr. and Kes’John Raines. Grandchildren: Da’riah Rogers, Elijah Jackson, Jaydah Durant, and Brazil Owens. Father: Haywood Washington and Brother: Demond Owens. Aunts: Rose Owens, Bernice Humphries, Helena Owens, Brenda Gilliam, and Anna Robinson. Uncles: Gershon Humphries, Roger Owens and Kelly Owens.

Gineen Washington-Cockfield

Gineen Washington-Cockfield 63, a life-long resident of Beaver Falls, Pa., passed away with family by her side in Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born July 2, 1958, to the late Mansfield Samuel Washington Sr. and Lillie Mitchell Washington.

Gineen “LOVED LIFE”. She was affectionately known as “Gin” by family and friends and if you knew her, you loved her. When she entered a room, you knew she was there by her infectious laugh and smile. Gin could sing with or without accompaniment, she was a true vocalist at heart.
If you were having a difficult day (and bumped into her) she would be the first to make you laugh and smile. She just had a way to magnetized you with her energetic personality. If she touched your life, find comfort in the knowledge that her bright spirit, compassion, and kindness will live on through her children, grandchildren, close friends, and relatives. Gin, will forever be loved and remembered!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mansfield Samuel Washington Sr, and Lillie Washington.; Brothers, Lester Howard Washington, and Lawrence Keith Washington; and Sister, Miranda Fay Russ.

She is survived by sons, Eric Washington, and Mark Cockfield. Daughter: Miranda Washington. Grandchildren: Jaezyn, Makaila, Anastasia, Shawn, Gerrod, Paryz Nicole and Desideria. Great-grandchildren: Rhemy, and A’Mia (Lillie Bell). Rosalee Watkins

Rosalee (Rosie) Watkins age 84 of Beaver Falls, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on October 9, 2021. Born to the late Westley and Leann Thomas on January 6, 1937.

Rosalee was a believer in Christ and lived her life for Christ. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for many years.
She leaves to cherish her mourning her son, Jerome Watkins and her daughter -in- law Dr.Carolyn Watkins, Grandchildren, Jay Fairley, DeAndre and Electra Fairley, Diamond Fairley, Jerome Watkins Jr.,Paris Fairley, Kathryn Greene, Noah Fairley, Luca Fairley and Jay Fairley lll. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews.

Rosalee was preceded in death by a sibling, John Thomas and her parents Westley and Leann Thomas.
