Emma Rebecca “Becky” (West) Bell

Emma Rebecca “Becky” (West) Bell, age 81 of New Brighton, PA, formerly of Midland, PA, passed away surrounded by her family on July 27, 2021. Born to the late Joseph and Louise West on August 28, 1939.
In 1963 God sent her a father and mother the late Lee Roy and Thelma Slappy and family who adopted her and her daughter whole heartedly with love.

Becky was a member of The Father’s House in Rochester, PA, and as member she served as the church Mother, Head Usher, Prayer Band Leader, and she was the church Welcoming Committee. Becky attended Lincoln High School of Midland, PA, and was a licensed Cosmetologist. She worked at Westinghouse for 20 years then later worked and retired from Friendship Ridge, New Brighton, PA, after 25 years as a Nurses Aide, she also had a certificate in Hospice Care.

She leaves to cherish her mourning her daughter, Pamela Bell Grant and her son-in-law Reverend Clarence whom she loved as a son, and an adopted son, Rev. Kevin (Rhonda) Grant; two grandsons, Clarence II (Amanda) Grant of Pittsburgh, PA, Darrin (Lauren) Grant of Dacula, GA; two Great-granddaughters Elliana and Emma Grant of Dacula, GA; Brothers, John Thomas (JT) Slappy; and James (Phyllis) Slappy of Midland, PA; Roger Slappy of East Liverpool, OH, and Donald Slappy of Rochester, PA; Sisters, Eva (Carl) Leak, Christine Slappy, and Carolyn Harris of Midland, PA; Rev. Mary Burton of Baden, PA, Paula (Nathaniel) Waldron, Monaca, PA. Her best friends, Judy Williams of Midland, PA and Karen Collier (partner in prayer) of Beaver Falls, PA. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and The Father’s House church family.

Becky was preceded in death by siblings, Marie West, Mary Harris, Martha Roberson, Thelma Perkins, Lee Roy Slappy, Paul Slappy, John and Joe Slappy, Shirley Dorsett-Pogue, and Larry Slappy.

A Homegoing Service will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at The Father’s House, 310 Clay Street, Rochester, PA. Viewing will be from 9 am – 11 am with service at 11. Services entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Regina Washington, Funeral Director.

Leonard Leroy Newman

Leonard Leroy Newman 85, of Beaver Falls, Pa went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 6, 2021 after a brief stay at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born February 9th, 1936, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Daniel and Nettie Newman. He was a graduate of New Brighton High School 1954 and a proud Army Veteran.

He is survived by his daughter Dionna Newman-White of New Brighton, Pa, son Tyrone (Theresa) Golding of Stockbridge, Ga, sister Nettie Newman of Benton Harbor. MI, grandsons Kevin (Lia) Wiley of Beaver Falls, PA, and Tyrone Zeigler of New Brighton, Ronald Golding Jr and Marcus Jackson of MD. grand-daughters Tabitha Wiggins (DJ) of Stockbridge, GA, Shannon (John) Young of New Castle, PA, and LaKresha Mitchum of Cincinnati, OH and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by wife LaVerne Newman, son Ronald Golding, daughter Pamela Golding-Wiley, grandsons Joseph Battle and Marcelus Bellinger, Brothers Jesse Newman, Floyd Newman, Thomas Newman, and JD Newman.

We would like to extend a special thank you to his neighbor and friend Harry “Spike” Moran.

Friends will be received on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 11:00 am followed by a 1:00 pm service at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls PA. Minster Donna Nesmith

Stephanie Denise “Stevie” Collins

Stephanie Denise Collins “Stevie” age 62 went home to the Lord on June 30, 2021 Stevie was born on January 4, 1959, to the late Eli Collins, Jr, and Clara Collins. Stevie was a lifelong resident of Beaver Falls, Pa, and was known and loved by many.

Stevie enjoyed life, her family, and her friends. As a family member or friend, you could always count on her love and support no matter the situation or circumstance; she was genuine like that. She had an infectious laugh and a smile that could brighten the darkest day. She walked regularly while instinctively feeding the squirrels in her travels. To those who knew and loved Stevie know there was never a dull moment when she was around. To keep her in our hearts and memories we all have a “Stevie” story to tell.

Stevie is proceeded in death by her father, Eli Collins, Jr.

Stevie is survived by her children; Monique Clark, Billy Foster, and Brittany Foster – Hill. Mother; Clara Collins. Sisters: Sherry Hooten, Donna Collins, and Lori Hill-Kirby. Brothers: Frank Collins, Dwight Collins, and Larry Townsand. Grandchildren: Maurice Collins, Macyla Collins, Rodgie Allen, Rodginay Allen, and Roman Hill. Great Grandchild; Bryn Bell, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the community for the outpouring of love and condolences.

There will be a private memorial service (immediate family only) at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 11:00 am 1411 6th Ave Beaver Falls, PA. Caleb Musselman officiating. The family respectfully requests privacy and understanding during this very difficult time.
