Melissia “Missy” Polite, 41, of Aliquippa, went home to be with her Lord on December 26, 2020. She was born on December 29th, 1978 to the late Hilda Marie Pope and Tyrone Mathis.

Missy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend. She worked for Woodlawn Laundry until her health became such a serious issue at a young age for her that the only result was a kidney transplant. In the end she maintained a positive attitude, passed along words of strength, and shared her pain and love through her word..

Missy had a heart that stretched near and far. She actively spoke on health issues, illnesses and various ways that she learned to cope, as well as enlightenment on diabetes. She represented the definition of “Family” and above all, she was love. Help us celebrate the blessed life of Melissia “Missy” Polite and come together in love. She will sadly be missed

In addition to her parents Hilda Marie Pope {mother} and Tyrone Mathis {father}; she was preceded in death by Breonna Kirkland {daughter}; four brothers; Enrico Polite, Robert Polite Jr., Timothy Polite, and Tyrone Mathis Jr.; an aunt, Shirley Ann Pope-El; along with three uncles, Sheppard Pope Jr., Arthur Lee {Bo-Bo}Pope, and Richard “Lucky” Pope.

Melissia will be sadly missed by her Spouse Maurice Burrell; two daughters; Shalayah (Spouse Tineca Jolly) Truss; and Kamiyah Polite and two sons Zha-Mare “Bang Bang Wyche and Zha-Quan “Nu-Nu” Freeman; 5 grandchildren, Zendaya Erica Harvey, Beautiful Melissia Truss, Angel Jolly, Jamacia Jolly, and Adaija Jolly; four sisters, Nichole Polite, Youlanda Polite, Sayeeida Polite and Miasha Moore; cousins: Sheppard and Sheilah Pope III, Darla and Todd Hill, Picola Pope, Caprice Pope, and Brittany Oravitz; her best friend, Yevette Clinton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Everyone that met Debby instantly knew how special she was. There was not a place that Debby could go that she would not leave behind a shared special moment. Debby was known for her spunk, wit and humor. Debby was an avid movie lover and began collecting movies since her early years. Debby loved to shop! Spending hours at the store just browsing was one of her favorite pastimes. Debby was known for her love for her children, faux children and an insane amount of love for her grandchildren. There was no mother, sister, daughter, cousin or friend like Debby and she will surely be missed. Not only will we miss her feisty personality, her love of music or her ability to make everyone she met feel loved and valued, but we will miss her pure heart of gold that was like no other.

Debby was preceded in death by her daughter, Marquita Coleman – Cleckley, her fathers, Charles Kimbrough and Joe Coleman Sr., and her brother, Joe Coleman.

Debby leaves behind her mother, Ozella Coleman; her life partner, Barry Brown; her children, Ira Coleman, Kemma (Ray) Coleman, Omar Coleman, (Scat), Ian (Marie) Coleman, Kenya (Ian) Johns, Kendra (Yovani) Coleman, and Jessica (Brandon) Harris; her grandchildren, Kylee, Na’Jhier, Shareef, Jayla, Anautica, Daonte, Damani, Dahlasja, Jahmadrej, Milan, Makena, Jeremiah, Azuriyah, and Brandon Jr.; her sisters, Francine Adams, Tameika Adams, Julie Simmons and Bell Kimbrough; her nieces and nephews, Jalani, Laquita, and De’Jean; and her closest friends, Eunice, Jimmy and Angie. Debby was loved by so many and she counted so many as her children, although all of their names may not be represented in this list, just know that Momma D loves you abundantly.

The celebration of life will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

Patty Taylor, 69 of Beaver Falls passed away Sunday, December 21, 2020 unexpectedly in Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center. Patty was born August 29, 1951. daughter of Archie Stewart and Carrie Lee Clark Stewart.

Patty was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Beaver Falls PA. She worked at the Heritage Valley Medical Center as a Unit Clerk for many years until she retired; she was passionate about taking care of others. She will be missed- she was truly and deeply loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Carrie Lee Clark Stewart, her brother Larry R, Scott , (Janet), Joseph R. Scott and her son James Lee Taylor.

She is survived by her brother Archie Stewart, her loving son Richard M. Taylor (Monica), 5 adoring grandchildren, Ayanna, Ari, Delaney, Dandrea, and Davon. Sisters in Law: Janet Scott, Barbara Taylor, Nieces and Nephews: Kara, JoAnn (Joelle & Joey) and Angela. Larry, Robin and Jodi and Timothy Jackson, Ginger and children. As well as many other relatives and friends. Lifelong friends Vivian Gibson Rippy, Roxanne Chatman and Betty Hamilton

Melissa Ann (Musser) Jackson, 48, of Beaver Falls, passed away on December 19th, 2020. Born October 14th, 1972, she grew up in Koppel, PA and was the daughter of the late Lance and Dixie (Sherman) Musser.

Missy, as she was affectionately known, was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an animal lover, true crime show fanatic, loved listening to music and dancing, and was known to never leave the house without her make-up and hair done. Her family was her world, and she will always be remembered and cherished for her kind, gentle spirit by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Julian Jackson, Beaver Falls; daughters, Kayla (Trey) Jackson, Beaver Falls, Brianna (Carl) Jackson, Steubenville, OH, and Christina Jackson, Rochester; sister, Sheila (David) Glitsch, Hookstown; mother-in-law, Mary Jackson; sister-in-law, Rizalita Musser, Felton, DE; uncle and aunts, Charles and Ruth Musser, Midland, Mark and Carol Musser, South Beaver Twp., Edward Musser, Pulaski Twp., Anna Bennett, Rochester, PA, and Marcella Laslovich, Wellsville, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her loss will also be felt by her animal companions, Kai and Oreo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lance and William Musser; uncles, Donald and Frank Musser; aunt, Sylvia LaMantia; father-in-law, Irish “Scooter” Jackson; sister-in-laws, Marquita Musser, Mary “Mae Mae” Yates, Joyce Tatum, Dawn and Nadine Jackson.

On December 16, 2020, Lawrence (Larry) Slappy peaceably passed away surrounding by his family.

He was born May 15, 1954, to the late Lee Roy and Thelma Slappy of Midland, PA. He is affectionately known and called Dub by his brothers and sisters and close family members. Larry was a faithful member of The Father’s House church in Rochester, PA.

He graduated from Midland High School in 1973 and attended Ohio University and Richmond University. Larry established himself as one of the Midland’s all-time great multi-sport athletes. Larry helped lead the Midland Leopards to the 1971 and 1973 WPIAL and PIAA State Basketball Championships. As a sophomore starter Larry played a pivotal role when Midland captured the Class B Titles in 1971. He scored 20 points in the WPIAL Championship Game as a 10th grader and was the senior leader and Captain of the 1973 squad. In the WPIAL Football Finals in 1971 and 1972 as a running back, he rushed for 3,099 yards average 8.8 yards per carry, scored 270 points, 41 touchdowns and 12 extra points. Larry became Midland’s all-time leading rusher and had his #13 jersey retired; the only Leopard to be so honored. As a senior, he was the WPIAL Class B Most Valuable Player in football. Professional basketball called Larry to Europe where he played for over a decade. After retiring from the game, Larry stayed abroad and lived in Brussels Belgium recently returning home.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee Roy, Jr., John, Joe, and Paul Henry, and his sisters, Mattie Thelma, and Shirley Ann. Larry is also survived by his siblings, John Thomas, Eva (Carl) Leak, Becky Bell, Christine Slappy, Carolyn Harris, Roger Slappy, Mary Burton, Donald Slappy, James (Phyllis) Slappy, Paula (Nate) Waldron, Sister n Law Juanita Slappy, his special brother Greg Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews.

On December 5, 2020 Nadine Jackson, 54 of New Castle, Pa passed away unexpectedly at UMPC Jameson Hospital, New Castle PA Nadine was born August 12, 1966 and grew up on Mt. Washington, Beaver Falls, PA.

Nadine LOVED her family and friends. She was known for her kind and giving heart. She was always laughing and smiling. Nadine’s Children were her life; she was a wonderful mother, sister and friend. She will forever be LOVED and missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her Father: Irish “Scooter” Jackson. Sister: Mary “MaeMae” Yates, Dawn Jackson and Joyce Tatum.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Son: Aaron Porter. Daughters: Ericka and Marnae Jackson. Mother: Mary Jackson. Brothers: Juilan, Peter, Wayman Jackson. Sister: Deborah Brown, Vivian Ricks, Iris, and Christine Jackson. Aunts: Edna Christine, Theresa Hamlin, Melva Jackson, Doris Brown, Martha Jones, Kathy Moseley, Tammy Bailey, and Jackie Ishmael. Richard Leon Ward Sr., 88, of Emery St. New Castle, PA, died December 12, 2020, at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, PA. He was born September 7, 1932, in New Castle, PA to the late Clarence and Racheal Ward.

Richard worked (over 20 years) at YDC (Youth Development Center) after retirement. His time spent with family and friends was something he relished and enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his sister Doris Ward of New Castle, PA. Brothers Clarence Ward of Carlise, PA.; and Chester Ward of Pittsburgh, PA.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mattie Ward, whom he married July 10, 1960. His children, Kenneth and Angenette Ward of Beaver Falls, PA, Richard Arthur Ward of New Castle, PA, Carmen Smoot of Farrell, PA, Tamara Johnson of Birmingham, AL, Tammy Poole of Birmingham, AL, Gerri Williams of New Castle, PA. His 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. His brother Paul V. Ward Sr of New Castle, PA, his sisters Meryle and Naomi Ward of New Castle, PA, Clarissa Ward of Youngstown, OH, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Viewing will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Charlotte A. Sheffield Funeral Home 454 Chestnut Street, New Castle, PA. A private burial will be Thursday, December 17, 2020.

David Lee Paschall,70 the youngest son of Fred and Ethel Paschall, de-parted this life peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020. He was born Oc-tober 6, 1950 in Bridgewater, PA, the youngest of five children.

David attended Beaver County Schools and graduated from Beaver High School, where he was a very accomplished and successful scholar. He at-tended Gannon College in Erie, PA, majoring in pharmaceuticals.

He moved to Denver, Colorado, married, and worked as an Assistant In-structor at St. Joseph Hospital for many years, before returning to Beaver County.

David Paschall was a computer genius, who worked for Penn State de-veloping numerous computer programs. He also worked independently on computer systems, assisting people, organizations, and businesses.
He was a supervisor at US Airlines where he worked tirelessly until retir-ing.

David was a lifelong member of St. John AME Church, Bridgewater, PA where he was very active as a youth. In later years he served as the church’s Exhorter, assisting in bible study and with numerous church pro-grams. He developed and operated the church’s audio visual program.
Almost one thousand people enjoyed his internet inspiration with his Fa-cebook group, Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH), Beaver County.

Dave was a gentle, loving giant, loved by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his sister, Dolores. He leaves to mourn his blessed memory his wife, Buena Dudley Paschall, his brother, Fred “Sonny” Paschall (Sandy); his sister, Constance Mabin; his youngest sis-ter, Barbara Jackson, and a host of many loving nieces and nephews.
