Deborah K. Matelan

Deborah K. Matelan, 66, of Swissvale, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Forbes Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Deborah was born November 23, 1953 to the late William and Eleanor Matelan (Majhan). Debbie is the beloved mother to children Stephanie and Donald Jason “DJ” Wolfarth, both also of Swissvale.

Deborah was a loving mother, aunt, great aunt and friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.She will always be remembered for her quick wit and feisty temperament, but also her caring and love spirit.

Deborah is preceded in death by long time partner Donald C. Wolfarth.

Debbie is survived by brothers Bill (Paul), Rich (Judi), Martin (Marlene), and sister-in-law Sandi, wife of late brother David. She is also the cherished aunt to niece Jill (Al) Schubert, nephews Luke (Mary) Matelan, David (Iulia) Matelan, Logan Matelan, Ryan Matelan, Brendan Matelan as well as great niece and nephew Alaina and Tyler Schubert. As well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service for friends and family will take place at a later time.

Linda Sue Gould

Linda Sue Gould, 63, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She passed away peacefully in her home. Linda was born, April 19, 1956 to the late Joseph Henry Gould and Evelyn Nell Buckenheimer.

Linda truly loved the Lord and was a woman of Faith. She would encourage everyone she knew with God’s Word. She knew and believed that the Lord could see you through anything that life offered good or bad. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend. Linda
is now in God’s Hands and will truly be missed by all who knew her, but will always be remembered for her Love and Faith in our Father.

Leaving to cherish her memory is her Son: Christopher Gould(Amy Behanna). Daughter: Ashley Green (Troy Pieprzyk) Beaver Falls.Grandchildren: Kyle James, Airys Marie(Carnegie)Stefan Isaiah,Teagan Christine. William Eugene (Boone) Evans

William Eugene (Boone) Evans, age 67 of Beaver Falls passed away at Brighton Rehabilitation & Wellness Center on Friday April 3,2020. Born May 15, 1952, Boone was the only son of the late William “Billy” & Crusada Evans.

Boone was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School, served in the United States Navy and was a volunteer throughout the community. Boone will always be remembered for his infectious smile and the love he has shown to his family, friends and all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his daughter Natalie Joan, Sisters; Tammy McGee, Marlene Weaver, Nancy Henderson and grandson Stephen Terrell Leigh Jr.

He is survived by daughters Gertrude “Boochum” Evans and Peggy Evans both of Beaver Falls, PA; Son Tyrone (Michelle) Miller of Cleveland, OH. Sisters; Tracey (Tyrone) Steals of Farrell, PA; Michelle McGee of Beaver Falls, PA; Cheryl (Rick) Beauford of Kansas City, MS. His grandchildren Terrell and Tavar Leigh, Tyriese Miller; Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to the countries current COVID-19 pandemic a celebration of life will be planned for Boone at a later date.

James Jerome Evans Jr.

James Jerome Evans Jr. Beaver Falls James Jerome Evans Jr., 68, of Beaver Falls, peacefully departed this earth in his home on Saturday, April 4, 2020, with his devoted wife, daughter and family members at his side. Jimmy was born in Ellwood City on September 3, 1951. He was the son of the late James Evans Sr. and Josephine Tisdale Evans.

He attended Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, where he ran track and field. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1969, Jimmy began working at Calgon (Nalco) Corporation in Ellwood City. He then served in the United States Air Force, where he received an honorable discharge in 1979. After serving in the military, Jimmy returned back to Calgon (Nalco) Corporation where he retired after 43 years of service. Jimmy enjoyed servicing many clients around the county with his Jim Evans Power Wash Business. Jimmy was his daughter’s number one fan throughout her scholastic and athletic achievements. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving man who dedicated himself to hard work and taking care of his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Evans; cousin, James Gandy and a special Aunt Mae (Evans) Gandy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; daughter, Mariah; sisters, Donna Smith of Farrell, Karen Evans of Beaver Falls, and Annette (Charles) Borders of Fombell; a brother, Douglas Evans of Ellwood City; sister-in-law, Deborah (Rolondo) Steele of Charlotte; brothers-in-law, Bruce Frasier of Charlotte and Brian (Maria) Fraiser of Beaver Falls; nieces, Laina Early of Pittsburgh and Leah Evans-Smith of Philadelphia; a special nephew, Brian (Dana) Evans of Atlanta; great niece and nephews, Jadien, Jamar, and Lamar and a great-great-niece Layla; devoted care-worker, Bernice King; the medical Staff of Liberty Dialysis of Chippewa and a host of friends he shared a special bond with.

A limited visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home. A private celebration of his life for the family will be held on April 10, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to WASHINGTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA, Regina Washington, Supervisor. A memorial service will take place at a later time due to the COVID19 virus.

Henry G. Haskins Jr.

Henry Haskins Jr., 91, of Beaver Falls, Pa went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 25, 2020; born, March 17, 1929 in Ambridge, Pa to the late Henry Haskins Sr. and Helen Sallie Haskins.

After graduating, Henry was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He worked for Westinghouse and retired as a Manager. In retirement, Henry enjoyed golfing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a member of the American Legion. Henry was also a member of Second Baptist Church in Beaver Falls. He was a family man and one of his fondest moments was seeing his latest Great Grandchild come into the world; he was elated. He truly was a warm and generous person and will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides Henry’s parents he is preceded in death by his son: Brian Haskins; Brothers: Robert, Eugene, and Donald “Ducky” Haskins. Sisters: Mable Haskins, Sarah Irene Haskins, Shirley Allen, Janet Hurling and Laura Howard. Grandchild: Andwel Atchison.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Loretta Haskins. Sons: Mitchell (Maria) Haskins and Joseph (Kary) Haskins. Daughter-in-law Carmen Haskins. Grandchildren: Irene Haskins Blissit, Arlene Haskins and Damian Espino. Grandchildren: AneSia Newton, An’Joria Atchison and Jor’Dasha Atchison. Great Grandchildren: Gabriella and Angelina Espino, and Iris Blissit. Sister: Linda Haskins. Special Niece Sarah Gardner; Special family friend Lisa Langston; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Henry will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus a Memory Service will be held at a later date.

Limited Viewing will be held on Friday, March 27th, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm and the Homegoing celebration for immediate family only on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11am at Second Baptist Church 2322 10th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA.
