Sherron Taylor Sr.

Sherron Taylor, Sr. Beaver Falls Sherron Taylor, Sr., 48, was called home to reside in his Heavenly Father’s Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., surrounded by his family and friends. Sherron was born on December 13, 1970, to the late Carrie L. Hudson and Carl Taylor.

Sherron was a devoted and loving father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed family get-togethers. Sherron’s laughter and out-going personality will truly be missed; not to mention that Sherron (tongue) swag.

Sherron is preceded in death by his loving mother, Carrie L. Hudson; maternal grandfather, Leroy Williams; paternal grandfather, Carl E. Taylor Sr.; uncle, Roy Williams, and aunt, Debbie L. Taylor.

Sherron is survived by son, Sherron (Jenna) Taylor; daughter, Alaysha (Joseisah) Taylor; grandchildren, Leo, Ayva, Kayi Taylor and Jassir McKenzie; sister, Shelnita (James) Carter; paternal grandmother, Janie Rawl and material grandmother, Marian Jane Taylor; uncles, Bruce (Sandra) Taylor, Mark Taylor, Bucky (Bernadette) Williams, Benard (Isabell) Williams; aunts, Audrey Smith, Ethel (Johnny) Harris and Regina (James) Crawford; cousin, Renetta Gill (like a sister); devoted friends, Jermaine, Dave, Russell, Richard, Bob, John, Brian, and LaShawn; host of nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by his Home Going service, Regina Crawford, officiating at WASHINGTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA, Regina Washington, Supervisor.

Lillian Brown

Lillian Brown (91), born May 2, 1928 of Beaver Falls Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2019 at Rochester Manor.

She was the owner of a local cleaning company and a Manager for ServiceMaster Cleaning Company where she retired after 32 years of service. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a devoted member of the Builders Fund. Lillian was a truly kind and caring mother and friend. There was nothing she wouldn’t do to help a friend in need; she would go above and beyond for them. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Lily Padgett, children, Thomas Gibbs, Billie Jean Gibbs, Veronica Jeannine Brown, two sisters, Betty Taylor and Violet Clark and one brother, William Padgett Jr.

She is survived by her husband, George E. Brown, daughters, Carol Ann Padgett, Henrietta Gibbs (Ricky Neil), Marcella Gibbs, sons, Zachary Gibbs, James Frankie Brown (Valerie ) Timothy Brown (Annette ), Bruce Gibbs, one brother, Johnny Padgett and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren , great great children ,nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Lillian will be buried in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville PA.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM Saturday July 20th Followed by a 11:00 AM Service at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 630 3rd Ave. Beaver Falls Pa. Services entrusted to Washington Funeral Home & Cremations 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA Regina Washington Supervisor.

Beatrice “Honey” Garrett

Beatrice (Honey) Garrett, 84, of Freedom was called home to reside in her heavenly home on Friday July 6, 2019 in Heritage Valley Medical Center, Beaver, PA.
Beatrice was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on July 8, 1934 to the late Willie and Ethel McCoy.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, father and grandfather John Garrett Jr., her parents, three brothers Jocephus McCoy, Cornelius (Alex) McCoy, Jerry McCoy and 2 sisters Gloria (Jeannie) Tucker, Donna McCoy, a step-mother Mary McCoy, a step-son John Douglas and her daughter Regina (Gee Gee) Garrett, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

She was a member of the Jolly Timer’s bowling league. She was a successful sales representative of Avon cosmetics. She was an avid cook and baker in which she was known for her delicious fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. She won an oven in a baking contest for her superior baking skills. For many years, on Saturdays, all the neighborhood girls would be at her home to get their hair done for Sunday school.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories a sister Marjorie (James) Strickland (Aliquippa, PA), a son Wendell McCoy (Beaver, PA.), 6 daughters, Teresa Thompson (Freedom, PA), Rena (Tom) Epperson (Freedom, PA), Ethel Garrett (Baden, PA), Debbie Garrett (Rochester, PA), Jackie Laster (Beaver Falls, PA), Beverly Cordes (Chapel Hill, NC). 15 Grandchildren, 53 great- grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Internment National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 12th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 followed by her Home going service at 1:00 p.m.; at Washington Funeral Home & Cremations, 1411 6th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA
