Deborah Eileen Jewell

Deborah “Debbie” Eileen Jewell, 68, passed away Sunday at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Erie. Debbie was a true representation of Christ’s love and faithfulness. Through many hard times in her life, she never lost her child-like faith in Jesus, and she was a light to others when they were in a dark place, giving simple reminders of the truth of God’s love and His promises. Debbie was a shining example of joy and generosity. She laughed from deep within, a joy beyond compare. Her jubilant personality and sense of humor are remembered fondly, and she never failed to bring smiles to the faces of everyone close enough to see her. She loved to go to church and remind people that Jesus loves them, and made sure to let you know that she loved you too. Debbie lived out the phrase “love greatly, for you are greatly loved.”

She was preceded in death by the Reverend Gale and Eileen Jewell of Beaver Falls, and niece Lindsey (Baker) Whitney. She is survived by siblings Barbara (John) Baker of Erie, Gayla Jewell of Grand Rapids, Gale “Gig” (Joy) Jewell Jr. of Beaver Falls, Reverend Charles “Chuck” (Suzanne) Jewell of New Castle, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
